Ben Higgs is a board-certified, Florida-licensed prosthetist-orthotist and the founder of Amplify Prosthetics & Orthotics. With over 17 years of clinical experience in prosthetic and orthotic care, Ben has helped people navigate the physical and personal challenges of limb loss, limb difference, and mobility impairment.
Throughout his career, Ben has worked closely with physicians, therapists, rehabilitation teams, patients, and their families to develop practical solutions to complex challenges while supporting each person's individual goals, needs, and lifestyle. He strives to be a knowledgeable, responsive, and dependable resource for patients and referral partners alike—someone they can trust to listen, understand their challenges, communicate openly, and work collaboratively toward the right solution.
Ben remains committed to advancing the profession through mentoring residents and students, educating healthcare professionals and university audiences, and contributing to professional workgroups. He is also a published contributor to Functional Limb Salvage: The Multidisciplinary Team Approach, a collaborative textbook on surgical limb salvage. His chapter, Prosthetics, Orthotics, & Amputation Rehabilitation, addresses the role of prosthetic care in managing the at-risk limb and supporting functional outcomes and quality of life.
